    In the 70s my Grandma asked a member of "The Brotherhood" to take care of her abusive boyfriend who was threatening to kill her and my mom and uncle.

    The guy was never heard from again. I've never asked what kind of "Brotherhood" it was, but given my Grandma's love of motorcycles and unsavory people, I have an idea.

    Not being affiliated with a gang is the best way of not being targeted by a rival gang.

    But In prison you eat with your race or by yourself. When the situation calls for it I can be remarkably silent and mesh in with the common rabble.

    also far as outlaw motorcycle gangs go its somethin youd need to be affiliated with before you went to prison cause imagine the embarrassment if you joined in prison then made parole then admitted you cant ride a motorcycle

      The yakuza are barely a gang. More like a cartel that acts like a goverment, that just so happens to do crimes. They are so entrenched within the goverment that isnt even much of an overstatement. For fucks sake when the tsunami hit japan their major factions sent aid and members to help out.

          They arent elected and typically just act like a parasite instead of providing structure. As pessimistic as you want to be, most goverment has a valid existence.

    I don't know anything about gangs, but I'd choose whoever's smallest-time. Even if they're violent, they probably have terrible business sense and no connections, so I can just hop a plane and they would never find me.
