Is it normal afraid of attractive men?

i am a straight man but I can recognize a good looking man when I see one, not because I am attracted to him, but because I subconsciously view him as competition. The fact is that good looking people can usually get away with a lot more. I keep thinking that an attractive man will sense my insecurity and somehow screw me over. Or that women (and gay men) will give him the benefit of the doubt over me.

    I'm a straight woman and fear "hot" men. I distrust them.

    It makes sense in a way. As people, we are socially competitive in nearly every aspect. And attractive people do a lot of the time have advantages based on their appearance.
