Is it normal alcohol cures everything?

I always feel better after alcohol. Occasionally I will have it to relax. However, it always seems to fix things. Like if you take it when you are sick or have an infection it seems to help. Also it always seems to make me go to the bathroom and I have a lot of problems going to the bathroom. So I always feel less terrible afterwards. Is this normal? My digestive system seem to never work on its own anymore, but I also have poor eating habits since I am poor and not allowed to cook in the house I rent. So I barely get to eat like maybe once a day and its usually canned stuff since its already cooked.

how about a doctor instead of a bottle?

    • That would likely be the less problematic solution. The laxatives' have stopped working all together. Though I do not qualify for health insurance and so I been having to pay everything out of pocket. I also am about to be homeless so this is a more immediate solution at the moment. I will likely try to consult one after I figure out my housing situation.

You’re still “about to be homeless” like 6 months later? How did the promotion work out?

        • I was going to get promoted and was trying to move out and had found a roommate. Also I got a second job so it would be easier to pay my bills and things had turned out well. Than I took a sick day and they decided they did not need me anymore. Originally I had planned to either move out or move into a tent. So yeah this was already a problem. Since I lost my job there is nothing keeping me in this shitty city anylonger so I am moving. Also my manager at the time was encouraging me to endure the suffering I was enduring for sake of the company. I also can not pay rent at the end of the month so I need to dip before I have to.

Until it backfires and actually causes anxiety through all the brain damage.

    • I am not going to argue this. Since you are absolutely right. I realize this coping mechanism is going to become problematic at some point.

I like how it makes it easy to get off the radar.

So, yeah. Alcohol will make you shit. But the problem is you’re body is going to get used to that instead of you just eating some fucking fiber.

Drinking alcohol frequently is not good, but I can get why you're using it as a temporary solution. Make sure to move on from that as soon as something better becomes available. The thing that you're not allowed to cook I think you should just break the rule on because they cant legally demand that, eat healthy to the extent that you can.

Your digestion not working can be from gluten or lactose allergy/intolerance, among many other things, so try cutting out the foods that has it. If you find out you're gluten intolerant you can just avoid grain products all together (maybe except rice and oatmeal), it will be a lot cheaper than constantly buying specialized gluten-free products. Spending more time walking/running may also help

I hope you can find a new place to live as soon as possible. The way you're talking sounds rather alcoholic to be completely honest.

Believe me, there are plenty of functional alcoholics in this world.

That’s an illusion. Alcohol only temporarily hides your pain, and will destroy you in the long run.

  • Yup normal. My cure for everything is clonazepam.
