Is it normal as an adult to still steal from your younger brother's friends ?

Is it normal that i will be 30 in a month (and still live with my parents)and I CAN’T stop stealing from my 20 year old brother’s friends ? , one time I stole a couple of things from his friends, he found out and fought with me a BIG fight , and I broke his trust towards me, already our relationship isn’t good , now it’s even worse , after a year or so I stole from his other friend who came over with my brother from college to sleep at our (or my parents ) house , for a week , and he didn’t find out , yet he came back yesterday to visit (he doesn’t live with us ) he lives in an apartment next to his college , anyways he didn’t ask about the stuff I stole from his friend , yet the following day he called me from the office to ask about his friend’s stuff because his friend forgot them at my parent's house , I played dumb and pretended that I don’t know what he is talking about , I hid his friends stuff in my closet , and he told me if I searched all your room and the closet are you sure that I wont find my friend’s stuff ? , I told him will help him search for the things , he didn’t listen and put all my clothes on the bed and searched under the bed , he found his friend’s stuff in my closet and told me on the phone “ Why do you keep doing this ?” . We are a dysfunctional family now we are even more dysfunctional .

    Dude, you're an idiot.
No, I don't care, you're an idiot. You're an idiot and you're a thief. You need to stay away from people you are going to steal from and stay the fuck away from me.

I really hope you're not curious as to why your family is even more dysfunctional. Grow the hell up.

Any normal adult will tell you the only time it is acceptable to steal is when your drunk in 7 eleven. No exceptions.

As the older brother you're supposed to be cool, and set an example for your younger brother to look up to. Stealing from your younger brother's friends is a good way make him lose all respect for you and hate you! No one likes a thief and no one feels sorry for thieves. If you have to steal from your brother's friends because you're jealous and want his attention know that the only attention you'll probably get is more fights. How would you like someone embarrassing you by stealing from your friends and lying about it to your face? Hmm...something tells me you don't have any friends. You're lucky your parents haven't kicked you out. Please see a mental health professional cause is not normal! Just out of curiosity are you doing drugs like crystal meth per chance?

Maybe you are just trying to attract some attention from your brother. Do you feel as if he loves his friend more than you?

You can do things differently. I know what it feels. Maybe you can start by saying that you are sorry. I know that it is not easy but it's the first step you should take. Next time he shows up behave better. It can only go better.
