Is it normal being more comfortable with your left despite being right handed?

Ever since I was young I have always had an urge to write with my left hand, even though my teachers always told me I was right-handed and needed to write with my right. I often got my hands mixed up, using my left hand or calling it my right hand as a kid. These days, I write more often with my left hand now that I am allowed, and I can write fairly well, if a bit slower than my right due to disuse.

    Some people can write with either hand well. My left handed writing comes out terrble.

    If you can do it, go for it. Being ambidextrous can be a benefit. I am right handed and I broke my right wrist, a while back, in a motorcycle accident. It is very difficult to wipe your butt with your left hand if you never did it before.
