Iin2bsuspicious of a business w/only 4 & 5 star ratings..
given the following?
I have used this business (Hairdressers for a marginalised community) on more than one occasion a few years ago. Despite being part of this community, felt like the staff thought I was a bit alien. I've had much better treatment in mainstream, gendered hairdressers even when asking for more edgy things. I've been several colours, lengths and styles!
Recently, I left a comment on a Facebook group aimed specifically at this community saying that me and some other feminine people had had some bad experience with them.
I got a comment from one of the hairdressers saying they welcomed everyone. This comment felt more than a little dismissive, defensive and unwilling to accept critique so I blocked them.
The director - who wasn't the director when I went all those years - has reached out to me. I've not responded to them yet and am seriously considering just blocking them, cutting my losses and never going again.
I think it's weird that there are no 1-3 star ratings for this business. I'd rather see some of them too, even if they clearly delusional/written by a Karen.
I just got the feeling the business wanted to cover their asses rather than actually listen to bad experiences.
