I dream about having adoptive parents and I believe that I really do somewhere out there (just not in this world). I dreamt about my adoptive mother just today in fact. I knew she was my mother because I've dreamt of her before (i just wasn't really aware of who it was at the time) and I called her "Momma" and "Mother" in this dream.

But in real life, my biological mother (single divorcee) raised me as lovingly and well as she could.

IIN? Does anyone else have these dreams and feel this way?

    Oddly enough, my mother in my dreams wasn't originally a human. In the dream, she was in her original form. You would be suprised to know who she is.

    Honestly, I'm a little bit suprised too. But she isn't the only character that became my parent. Really, both my dream father and mother are characters that came from different movies. Characters I developed an incredible bond to.

      Hm. If it helps any, I once had a dream I was Luke Skywalker fighting his father (Vader), and I lost my hand just like in the movie and stuff. So yes, I believe dreams like mine and yours are perfectly normal and I've had some.

    It's normal to have fantasies but you must remember to separate fantasy from reality. I have a couple fantasies myself and sometimes it can be hard to accept that it's just your imagination. They make life so much more interesting, but you're missing out on the true beauty of life when you don't accept her for what she truly is.

    Yeah I've had dreams like that. Like one I had that I was in a family in Italy back in the 1800s (I do have Italian heritage) and we got along well, unlike my real one where we argue a lot.
