Is it normal can watching crime shows/ cnn all day make your child autistic?

I literally watch law and order and criminal minds all day long with my 20 month old. The baby really seems to enjoy it.But the baby is not talking much and does not play with any toys. The baby cries alot. The baby becomes catatonic if the tv is ever off.

I am afraid the baby will get hurt or dirty at a playground.Or the baby will get murdered or kidnapped or sold into sex slavery.

My fiancé and his bratty older son hate both shows and think they are depressing and scary and want to put on cartoons or stupid game shows and do other things.
It really pisses me off and when I force them to sit on the couch and watch it.they get scared or disgusted or leave.Several times now the tv SOMEONE has unplugged the tv and refuse to put it back on. They think we should be outside. I hate the outdoors period.

    Autistic? What? Playing outside, getting dirty and falling over is part of growing up. It gives kids fresh air, can help them socialize and can also help build up their immune systems. Turn the tv off, get off your bum and take your kid outside.

    I baked some strawberry shortcake Oreo muffins today. They came out so moist and delicious. I stupidly shared them with a few co-workers and now I only have like two left to myself. Meh, I guess it's okay though since it made them happy and besides I eat too much junk food anyway.

    I'm starting to think you're not fit to be a parent. I'll humor you.

    Autism is genetics based. You don't get autism from anything. Please tell me you give your child his vaccinations and aren't one of those retards who believe they give you autism.

    Your child needs to be outside, and getting outside and playing and getting dirty is part of it. It helps them a lot in terms of socialising and building their immune system.

    Your fiance and his son are right. Have your child watch children shows, not graphic crime shows and CNN. It's bad for the child to be subjected to that at a young age. Do that in your own time.

    On a very very serious note, I would REALLY consider giving up your child for adoption. If you are unwilling to change your ways and be a good parent, you will do that child nothing but harm. If you really love it and are unwilling to take care of it, let it go and grow up in a good environment.
