Is it normal constant death nightmares

I don’t dream a lot, but when I do, it’s often an extremely vivid image of me getting murdered by someone unidentifiable.

Last night I had a dream that I actually remembered for the first time in weeks if not months, where I was in a car with a friend. We were talking together and heard a noise to our left, so we looked to see a man walking out of a house we were right next to. The man had an automatic weapon of sorts that almost resembled a shotgun. He pointed it towards the window and I tried to duck but I had already felt a strange numbing sensation in my brain. For awhile I was trying to play dead but I soon awoke terrified.

Maybe it’s a repressed sexual desire

Nightmares are necessary for the brain to process certain unresolved waking emotions.

I have nightmares in which I am often the killer. This is the result of my having to conceal a lot of hostility towards any fucking moron that irks me in daily life. Yours I would say are anxieties being dealt with. It’s very healthy and natural to have nightmares. Everybody’s shadow side is important in balancing their mental state.

  • Take beta blockers (propranolol, atenolol or metoprolol) before going to bed, they can often block nightmares.
