I recently switched jobs and at this new company is a hot female coworker with short brunette hair. She has been trying to get my attention and flirt with me for the past one week. She always attempts to make eye contact with me and smile. One time I was sitting down and she came up behind me and gave me a good shoulder rub. Another time she asked for my help in fixing the stapler but when I got to her she said it fixed itself because I was too slow. This other time she sprayed some hand sanitizer on my left hand when I wasn't looking. Today she discreetly asked me to have coffee outside work. I just don't know what to think because she is very attractive and no woman has ever acted like this around me, it makes me believe it could all be a prank or some kind of ridiculous bet. I have no way of knowing if she is genuine or just messing with me. She is acting immature even though she is older than me (I'm 24, a straight guy, and she's 26).

Seems normal for workmates to flirt and perhaps date.Maybe you're just not used to attendion. But if you're gut is really telling you somethings up you should listen to it and just be careful.

Jeebus. Give the situation the benefit of the doubt. For all you know she could be messing around with you because she feels comfortable with you. Treat the situation for what it is at the moment, nothing more nothing less.

Go out for coffee. Let's consider for a sec that it is secretly a bet/prank or something malicious.... big deal? Will you have lost a whole lot? It's not like you'll be going to the coffee shop with a witch that can instantly turn you butt naked in front of everyone? Worst case scenario, you don't get a good vibe from socializing with her in which case feel free to not bother anymore. But best case scenario you make a friend, or more, and your shyness gets ironed out.

If I hadn't taken some leaps of faith in ny own life I wouldn't have made some of the best or richest experiences ever.

I'm sure she's just setting you up for a sexual harassment suit. She realizes you are a player and she probably doesn't like players.
Go out with her if you want, but have your phone recording her every word and make sure YOU don't say anything they can use against you.
