Is it normal dad furious bc i didn't do the washing

My dad left me n my sis alone today to go over his girlfriends house, he asked me to hang out the washing before he left and I said okay.

I was going to do it however I forgot, I realized my mistake but it was late at night so it was to late to do it now so I decided to just say sorry to my dad when he came back and do it tomorrow.

He came back and immediately said "you didn't do the washing?!" even though he didn't even check, he just wanted to blame me. I said sorry and that I forgot, and he got really angry and switched everything off (even the internet) he was yelling at me but I ignored it because he always does it so I kind of just go blank.

He then doesn't talk to me at all and goes to bed. Is it normal? I understand it was my fault, but are dads suppose to be so angry about everything? It was just washing, it wasn't like I burned the house down :(

    I have a feeling you 'forget' a lot! What were you doing that so entranced you that you couldn't remember to contribute this one little thing to the household?

    It's a little bit of an overreaction. Perhaps he had a fight with his girlfriend and that put him into a bad mood?
