I got mouth sores( canker sores) for the first time this year. Last time on my inner lip, this time is probably the worst pain ive ever felt. Its near my throat and i dont want to eat and im living on Orajel. I feel unwell and no energy.
Seriously if i could go into a coma till its gone id say YES PLEASE.
Are mouth sores this bad for you guys?
I used to get these, so I sympathise. They're a miserable thing to have and chronic pain can thoroughly screw up your life.
If you look online, there are various remedies that are supposed to help the ulcers heal. It's been many years since I had one, but my recollection is that if it was in a part of my mouth where it was possible, I used to fold up a piece of paper towel, put it on the ulcer to dry it out and leave it there for as long as possible. As always with these things, it's impossible to know if that helped them heal faster, but my recollection is that it reduced the pain somewhat and my feeling was that it did help the healing process.
Try eating tums before you go to sleep. I used to get those a lot, its from burping up stomach acid.
I had some extremely painful canker sores on the inside of my inner lip as a teen for around a week. A bunch of them and my lip was swollen, everything hurt I could barely eat. I remember I used to gargle with salt water every night and I guess I probably took aspirins as well.
i used to get lots of em when i was a younger teen but they went away after several years
havent had one in decades
btw mouth sores aren't normal they mean you have herpes cankersores are a form of herpes.
You might want to ask this person for advice. You have to be doing the same things.
