Is it normal fiancee cousin snubs my family and i?

He refuses to answers my phone calls, pretends to be asleep or just ignores my presence and my families presence. I am thinking of yelling at his mother and telling her she is banned from seeing her great niece and nephews until she teaches him some manners.The loser is well into his forties and lives with his mother. My family was very offended he pretended to be asleep on the couch to avoid talking to him. His mother said he probably was asleep.He continued to be asleep even though I am sure he wasn't.He should have to talk to my family even though neither one of us like each other.
