Is it normal for a 32yr. old American male to do this?

I will provide some more information after I receive some genuine responses but for now let it be known that he is :-

- Korean American (2nd generation), 5`10" 160lbs.
- Born Alaska, raised Seattle, in Los Angeles since 2002
- Did not attend college however did have plans to attend UC Berkeley 3 years back (Urban design, Landscape Architecure & Design)
- Broke up with long-term live-in gf of 7 years on 11/2013 (She walked out, to another relationship saying "She didn't feel loved")
