Depends on the country, USA it's not normally considered a BD if it doesn't have a closet, they call it an office or den.
A lot of homes in European and far east countries don't have closets. You buy wardrobe furniture. Move it where it works best.
I agree, it's also common for a bathroom if it doesnt contain a shower or bath to not be counted as a bathroom. So it normally shows up as a .5 bathroom in plans. At which point it's just commonly referred to as a rest room.
A powdering room is just a room with a sink, no toilet. A restroom has a sink and toilet. Washroom and bathroom have a bathing fixture.
As in the ones built in the 1900s? Or is it more recent like the 1950s and older?
What's a closet by your definition? Do you mean like a tiny room inside your bedroom? I have a wardrobe, if that's what you mean. IKEA brand.
Mine has a built-in closet but it doesn't have doors it's just like an open one.
