Is it normal for a benzene burn to go away

I was splashed with liquid benzene at work and now suffer burning and breakouts around my mouth. is it normal for this to last a long time? (2-4 weeks). Will it go away or will I be permanently disfigured and suffer breakouts forever?

  • I've seen one and received the pad doctor answer. I was hoping for a first hand account.

    You should consult a specialist.

Benzene burn? Benzene is neither an acid, nor a base, it evaporates from your skin quickly. How did you manage to burn yourself with it?

    • Well the doctor referred to it as a burn. I didn't notice anything really until the next day when I woke up with red all around my mouth and nose.
