Is it normal for a cat to stalk flies and to fly in the air karate chopping ?

My cat does flying karate moves in the pursuit of flies and 9 times out of 10 he actually catches the fly, which is something I cannot do. I do not know how he knows karate, as I do not practice it and I do not watch karate movies.

Is it normal? He is a "Main Coon" type of cat.

I think the ninjas learned their ways from the cats.. So naturally it would be hard wired into their brains

  • Their whole brain is wired for that sort of action. Yours is not. Don't be jealous. ;)

          • Especially tigers!

Hey, you're a tiger aren't you. How about a chin rub? Oh, you like that? What about around your ears? Nice kitty. ;)

I could get used to this. I don't know if tigers purr, but I know that I am doing. :D

You don't need to stop when you reply, by the way. You can type with one hand. :P

He's a Ninja Tom (Ginger Tom). As he is a Main Coon he is as big as a small leopard. Google it.

The Karate Kitten. I'm sure there's a film in there somewhere.

That would be fun to see. I have only one cat now and the only thing he karate chops are my feet when I'm in the bathroom!!

Awww thanks. I had to put her down. She was 19. Had kidney failure. She lived long and happy. My other cat is 10 years old and a love bug. :)
