he was exerting his authority over you, policemen do that a lot because they think their above the law, namely new recruits but you always get a few psychos who think they can do whatever they want and get away with it.
he was most likely harassing you because he knows in that situation he's in control and wanted to threaten you into going out with him. i'd say phone him and tell him to fuck off but you'll probably hurt his fragile feelings and track you down to use the excuse of slandering a policeman. maybe piss on the phone number and throw it away
