Is it normal for a coworker to say this to you?
I feel like she was making a rude dig and basically saying you look old to my face.
I'm 25 but I never told her my age and we have lots of people in their 20s who work at this company.
We're in the staff lounge and I never got the opportunity to talk to her so I finally did. She's really shy and looks about 18 but she told me she's just graduated from university and is 21 then without asking how old I am, she says "I know I'm really young, I'm like the youngest one here"
I can't understand what she was getting at or how she can tell I'm a few years older...is she trying to say I look 35+? Because to me when you say you're younger than someone without knowing their age, it seems like you think they definitely look out of their 20s..
maybe someone told her she was the youngest?? Because even though she looked 18, I didn't know she was 21 and could have been 25 for all I know. I'd never say I know I'm younger than you..
I really hope I don't look older than my age. That's what I'm scared of.
