Is it normal for a dog to want to kill a cat and not a bird?

Have a rottweiler and birds are always in their food but she doesn't care. She wants to attack the cat every-time she sees him. Why would she go after a cat but not the birds that are stealing her food. The cat is probably a lot less threatening to considering hes only 10 pounds and shes like 100.

Maybe the dog genuinely likes the birds, but isn't so fond of the cat? Check out some old Tom and Jerry cartoons.

Because birds supply the dogs with medical marijuana. Cats are just pussies
