Im dating this guy for a month n i keep learning weird things about him. He is the first guy I dated who does all this. I was in his bathroom n looked he uses shampoo conditioner leave in mousse .. face cream n chapstick even has this non greasy pure oil thing to use for face and hair. He has a body hair groomer n bunch of colognes that he said colognrs are gifts. I saw he has a shower filter when I asked why he says the gunk in shower water can be harmful? He sleeps on a silk pillow cover!! I said i liked it so he bought one for me too saying ita good for the face helps prevent wrinkles n dirt .. he doesnt look or act gay hes very sweet but I dunno Im a girl n I dont do all this.

    Sounds like he just has good habits for keeping healthy skin on his face. I wish i had better habits like that.

    He is a new aged metro man. I do this to! But I use the skins of vanquished foes as a pillow cover instead of silk, but you know, either or either.

    Two sides of a spectrum:

    a) This guy doesn't even take care of his personal hygiene! It's disgusting!

    b) This guy has a lot of shit in his bathroom! It's so gay!

    Which side are you on? Or maybe somewhere in the healthy middle?

    I think guys are becoming more interested in their appearances. I don't think it's normal but I think one day it will be.

    Sure. While most guys just don't want to go through all that trouble, many straight guys do keep an exceptionally good care of their outlook.
    If you ask me, he's taking it perhaps just a tad too far, but I still don't think you need to worry.

    Biologically humans evolved where 'attractiveness' of the opposite sex was defined by the man being the hunter and the woman being the nurturer.
    If you think of it this way, then this 'guy' should really look a bit more scruffy and wild, not clean and soft!

    Modern culture and obviously human choice, has allowed the man to do whatever they like these days. Short from wearing a dress (as yet!) guys can be as feminine or beautiful looking as they want. But your sexual desires, as a girl, may be still looking for the hunter type of guy.

    Relationships are built up of many things. We also compromise with each others faults or needs. But one of (the many) things that build a romantic relationship, is sexual attraction (yes true). And if you are not willing to accept or compromise his cleanliness and soft skin, then first tell him then decide to leave or stay.

    Its only human.

    (and here we go with the replies of how dare I tell people the truth).

        I don't know why exactly, but I tend to get a lot of abuse from other repliers how wrong I am. I re-read my replies and think that's not bad, what are they saying :)

          Nah, you have your head on straight. People are treating you like crap, because their jealous. Every comment I've read of yours had plenty of validity and meaning. I don't understand why people are so uptight these days on here, but I tip my imaginary hat to you. :)

    Ohhh nooo, you found cologne in his bathroom? That's terrible!!! I found some dead puppies, a few murder weapons, some snuff films, some child porn and a few decapitated barbies in my boyfriend's bathroom, but thank gawd I didn't find cologne...I would have dumped him for that.
