Is it normal for a school to have this many bomb threats?

When I was in school we never took bomb threats seriously because they would happen like every month, literally. It was always just some kid wanting to suck up 2 hours of the day. Sometimes it took so long that we would switch buildings and watch National Treasure (it was always national treasure). Sometimes the threats were actually pretty fun for us because we got to hang outside and get out of class. Anyways, I was wondering if other schools were like this or if we're an outlier.

    lol same. i remember, whenever the virginia tech shooting was, someone wrote on a paper towel dispenser in the bathroom at our school "if you thought v-tech was bad wait until friday" and on that friday half of the school (which was normally about 1000 people) didn't show up, and they brought in metal detectors for whoever did come in (now the metal detectors are there permanently). people would call in bomb threats all the time, which was "coded" as the principal saying "I lost my keys" over the speakers. the teachers would tell us to look around for "anything suspicious" and most of the kids knew what it meant while the others were looking around for the principal's keys, haha. the bathrooms got lit on fire a lot too, or people would just pull the fire alarm. seemed something like that would happen about every other week..

    Back when I used to go to school, it was the fire alarm that was always being pulled. Sometimes it was monthly, weekly, or two to three times a day. It sucked when it happened in the winter or when it rained. We were stuck outside freezing.

      Lol I have no idea if they ever caught the kids doing it.
