Is it normal for a straight man to wear makeup?

I’ve suffered from terrible acne all my life, even now in my early twenties I still get acne, and while it’s less then it used to be, my skin still has scars black heads and acne. I’ve tried so many skin care things and diet changes but I’ve never gotten it cleared up, so I wear make up, it makes me feel a lot better about myself and a lot more confident most days, but also despite it being non toxic healthy makeup it has made my skin look worse when I take it off, so I wear more now.. IIN? Or rather is it ok? It is frustrating because I feel really insecure about my skin, so much so that I wouldn’t dare let a soul see me without it on.

Meh, I see no issue with it. Why ask if it's normal for a straight guy? Wearing makeup doesn't make you gay. Being sexually attracted to men does. Lol

    • of course it doesn't, Im just specifying my specific demographic because its obvious that straight men as a whole probably wear the least amount of makeup of any demographic. I didn't ask if it makes me gay, of course it doesn't.

It's normal to want to look better but wearing makeup that ultimately makes the issue worse isn't good.

I agree with those who are advising the washing your face with regular soap (not ones with lotion in them or such)… plain Ivory Soap, 3 times a day and drying it well.
Using make-up on your face, regardless of the type, will still ultimately clog the pores and negate your bodies natural abilities to keep it clean with natural sweat and breathing...
Thus, wearing the make-up may make you feel better for the time but you are only creating a worse and ever worsening situation for yourself.
You are young enough that if you give yourself time, it will clear up and the scars will fade to a very large extent...
Remember that your face or the scars is not WHO you are and if others are so shallow as to think less of you for any acne or scars, then they just are not worth paying attention to in the first place.
If you find that you have oily skin even after cleaning your face those 3 times a day, then use cotton balls and rubbing alcohol to cleanse and help dry up the excess oils... it WILL work. It worked for me.
Also, diet contributes greatly to acne... if you are eating a bunch of greasy foods, then it will get worse... also, as someone already mentioned above, if you are using certain drugs, like opioids, then you will just make it worse (not saying that you are doing so... just making the cautionary statement)
Remember that as a man, as you get older and the face does clear up, even if the scars seem noticeable to you, most others will not notice or care... and IF you still feel uncomfortable about any slight blemishes, then a beard is always an option and may even make you even more handsome to those you want to attract!
Peace, man. All will be well.

Acne scars are awful to have. But men with makeup don't look straight.

Dude ill tell you the best thing for acne that no one listens to. Just wash your face with soap and water like 3 times a day. It helps ALOT. since you are in your 20s it should start going away soon. If you take opioids it will make it worse tho. Also if you have long hair.

Probably not considered normal but probably should be. Men should be allowed to cover up their facial flaws too. Have you tried Proactive Solution for several months?

Unless you're in a rock band... no.
If yes, go wild. Glam rock was awesome.
