Is it normal for a tendon to get stuck in your neck when you turn to the side

whenever i’m laying down and i turn my head to the left i feel a tendon(?) get stuck somewhere in my neck and i have to lower my jaw to unstuck it. it never really gets unstuck so i repeatedly do it until i forget about it or if i turn to the other side.

  • I just saw my doctor and asked her about something similar, although with me it feels like a lump

She felt my neck and I moved it around, she said it feels normal, and that it's normal for that to happen (a lot of skin and tissue to bunch up)

I even asked about cancer (I used to smoke cigarettes and now I vape) she kinda laughed it off and said she doesn't think I have cancer (I also get blood work done semi regularly)

You should still ask next time you're in to see a doctor, you'll feel much more relieved hearing it from someone who went to college
