Is it normal for a wheelchair user to want a standing job?

I'm an ambulatory wheelchair user, meaning that I can stand, and even walk, but only for short periods of time. A couple of my dream jobs include a lot of standing, nothing super wheelchair accessible.

    I think its normal to want that. Yearning for things is normal.

    It would sure beat sitting all the time.

    You could actually likely do a job with a standing desk area assuming that you could also sit down some and work from a normal desk as well.

      That's a good idea. I have one at my house. When I use my laptop my legs don't fall asleep or cramp. It's great!

    Hey I want a chair that has 4 robot spider legs to move me around. A close second is a one man carriage that's pulled by a robot.

        This. But also, many jobs can be modified to accommodate people with disabilities, and OP never said what the jobs they were interested were.

      It is the dreamers of the world who actually change the world - for better or worse.

      Telling people to live within your own personal perception of their options is extremely insensitive and just shows how much superior to others you believe you are.

      I've seen people with what many would consider extreme disabilities achieve totally amazing things in this world...

            If they’re a bit retarded they can go to the manual labour camp and work in a factory, if they can’t work they get gassed
