Is it normal for an adult school to not be for teaching adults?

Adults schools(Alternative learning center) is generally where adults go when they did not finish high-school. We have one in my city I thought I might try it. I dont qualify for any government aid since apparently my parents make enough to pay my school despite the fact they wont and cant pay my college expenses. Luck me! So I went down to this place thought the answer to my problems were solved. To be told that they dont help adults only High school students. So why the hell is it called ADULT SCHOOL? Isnt that a little misleading? Yes I am sure the High-school students are all going to know to go to ADULT SCHOOL if they want extra classes. That makes total sense.

      So I could have dropped out and they would have helped me? I wish I would have known this since my entire high school was worthless and made everyone repeat a grade system crashed.

      Which made them put everyone back in the classes they already did. I should have just dropped out I would have been better off.

      Glad to know they have more help for drop outs than actual graduates. Glad to know that doing the right thing gets you no where and they completely fucked us for doing the things we were suppose to do.

      Not getting pregnant/someone pregnant in High-school
      Not dropping out of high-school
      Not deciding to become a criminal
      Not bearing a child into poverty

      Seems all the people who did what they were suppose to do get nothing for it.

        The sad reality is people abuse the system. Preventing those who need the help from actually receiving any of the benefits.
