Is it normal for college roommates to have belching and farting contests?

When I was a freshman in college, my roommate and I would often have belching and farting contests. He usually won the belching contests, but I owned him in the farting contests.

This all started one day when he was working at his desk in our dorm room and I walked up to him and farted loudly right by his head. He got even a couple hours later when he belched in my face as I did my calculus homework.

We later had contests to see who could belch louder/longer and who could rip the loudest and most disgusting farts. Near the end of the semester we pranked the guy across the hall by each walking into his room and farting on cue - his room smelled so rank that he had to open his window for 10 minutes and use a fan to air it out!

Is it normal for college roommates to have belching and farting contests?

    Yes, this sounds like something immature college students would do. You still have room to be weird and goof off in college. If you are one of the lucky people who can afford it or live in a European place that pays for it.

    I knew there was a reason the OP couldn't get a job. Belching and farting are subjects that do not transfer well to the work place.

    Normal and it's not just for college kids. I've had belching contests with my sister, who's a cute, petite bank CEO. She can rip a belch and it has great shock value coming from her.

      oh sure the ceo does that but when I goes downta my local branch and tries to strike up a contest by belchin loudly at the tellers they throws me out
