Is it normal for family to never do anything then get mad at me
I basically take care of my aging parents. They don't do simple things for themselves, like they are capable of.
So I go to the store. I buy what's on their lists. But if I don't get exactly the perfect things, my mom gets mad. Like if an onion isn't the perfect size she'll get upset. "What am I supposed to do with this large onion? I only needed a small one." It's not like I'm buying completely the wrong thing - she's picking out details that don't matter. Cut the onion up, store the rest or throw it out - that is not my problem.
Or if I call to make an appointment for them, no matter what, it's NEVER the right time or day. Even if I ask before I call, and they tell me "Any time before 12pm", and so I make the appointment for 9am, my mom will be like "Well that's too early."
I NEVER get a "thank you" and I NEVER get a break. I'm constantly doing things for them like a maid, with no thanks, nothing. It's just always wrong.
Anyone else deal with this? Either with a parent or partner? It's really make me feel like I'm going crazy.
