Is it normal for little kids to boss me around when i'm making their sandwich?

I work at Subway and little kids act like they're my boss... "I want this, I want that. don't gimme hot peppers. Don't put olives on my sandwich. I don't like mayonaisse... Waaaahhhh" So fucking sick of these spoiled little shits. Aren't parents supposed to teach their kids to respect ALL adults, even the ones making minimum wage?

Isn't your job to listen to people and put what they want on the sandwich?

You get paid to take shit, just like everyone else in the service industry. Welcome to the world of work.

Just in case nobody ever told you, you work in the food SERVICE industry. If you don't like serving your customers, no matter what age they are, then you should find another job. Perhaps cleaning sewers, where you won't have to deal with ANY demanding customers, is more your style. The pay might even be a bit better!

Any subway I have ever been in has an ingredient bar that is worked by the sandwich maker. You have to tell that person what bread, toppings and sauces you want so they can build your sandwich. So if they weren't saying "I want this..." wouldn't you just be standing there waiting for them to do so?

The Jared case points out a lot of the issues with child sex laws in this country. There may be more, but the only case there is any real information on is that he paid to have sex with a 17yo girl in NY. A 17 year old is not a child in that sense. The age of consent in NY is 17 so that is completely legal. But because he lives in IL and crossed state lines to have sex with a girl under 18, that makes it a federal crime. So if a guy in NY has sex with her that is fine. But if someone in IL has sex with the exact same girl he is a child molester. How does that make sense?

The point of the law against crossing state lines is to prevent someone circumventing the law by for example taking a 16 year old in FL where the age of consent is 18 across the boarder to GA where the age of consent is 16 just to have sex with them. But this girl was already in NY so that really doesn't apply. Also, the age of consent in IL where he came from is also 17, so again, not a real issue.

He lives in a state where the age of consent is 17 and traveled to a state where the age of consent is 17, and had sex consensual sex with a 17yo. How does this make him a child molester or warrant years of prison time?

I realize he paid her and that is prostitution which is a separate issue. But prostitution is a slap on the wrist crime that he would not be going to prison for if that was the only issue. Child porn is also a separate issue, but with out knowing the actual age of the persons involved, I have no opinion on the matter. It makes a big difference to me if they are 17 or 7. Because I also disagree with the idea that it should be legal in many states to have sex with a 16 or 17 year old, but illegal to film it even for personal use.

Yeah, Jared was a good man. What's wrong with asking an las Vegas hooker for a finders fee what's this a thought-crime? If I told someone to jump off a bridge that doesn't mean I pushed them I only made a suggestion. My friend Jared was entrapped and that's bullshit.

I don't know Jared. He could be a great guy, he could be an ass. I really don't care. I also really don't care about finders fees. What I do know is that I do not believe a person should face 5 to 13 years in prison for having sex with a 17 year old girl in a state where the age of consent is 17.
