Is it normal for me to not wanna be a "cool kid"?

I don't wanna be a "cool kid" at school, I don't see the attraction of being super popular. "Cool kids" are annoying to me, unless they are nice to me and my friends. I think that being popular ruins the school experience for me, plus, I don't wanna be swarmed by guys wanting to date me. Is this normal?
