Is it normal for men to constantly give me free stuff in animal crossing?

I go to a very obscure art forum that has a similar format to this place. The "sockpuppet account" I use on that site is apparently more interesting than my normal account. On that account I post happy, positive art. Some of the users on that site have a gaming discord and I joined. Every damn time I play Animal crossing with someone from the discord or the art site, they give me a lot of free items in the game. Every dang time it's a guy. My boyfriend is amused by this and calls them simps. If its stuff I don't want, I give it to my boyfriend or I go on reddit and give it away to people there. Is it normal?
