Is it normal for men to take pictures of women they don't know in public?

I'm a 19 year old girl and sometimes I get the feeling that some guys are taking pictures of me when I'm out in public. I can see them out of my peripherals taking a picture but I notice how it's directed at me. I don't know if I'm just imagining things or if I'm a target from some creep.Do guys really take pictures of random girls in public?

I don't think it's normal to take pictures of people without their permission, but in this day and age it's very common. Creeps abound, I wish I could use them for target practice.

I'm not sure if you're asking if it's normal for men to take pictures of unwitting women, or if you're normal for imagining that this is happening to you. It's extremely unlikely that people are covertly taking your picture that often, especially when you've never actually seen it happen.

I have on a few occasions taken a picture with my cell phone of a beautiful woman I see out in public. I try to be discreet about it because I don't want any woman to feel like she's being stalked, because she isn't! It's just a random thing. Sometimes I take a picture of a beautiful antique car, sometimes it's a landscaping feature that I want to remember, sometimes it's a pretty girl. People out in public should expect that they might be getting photographed in this day and age with the proliferation of security cameras and government surveillance cameras and personal cell phone cameras everywhere. I can understand why this might make a female feel uncomfortable sometimes but I guess you just have to get used to it because it's not likely to go away.
