Is it normal for my brother to use the computer this much

My brother will get up from bed from sleeping immediately with his eyes barely open and go on the computer, he doesn't even have his eyes fully open and its like the computer is pulling him in when hes sleep walking, from then he will sit on there for 11-12 hours and then it's finally my turn from about 2 am till whenever I fall asleep. Is this normal?

    If he's still in school and he does this when he's on break it' s normal but not healthy . My 14 yr old son will do this most of the time if he has nothing going on with his friends that day if I let him . It's my job as a parent to see that he has some balance to his life and learns living skills for when he's on his own some day. So some days I let him since it's summer , other days I make him do chores and yard work . I get him books I know he'll like that once he starts reading I know he'll not able to put down . I make him go shopping with me ( I tell him if he's not there I get to pick out all the food and he gets no say in it ) he helps cook and clean up , some times he makes the meal and then I'll do the clean up. C

    No I don't think that is normal at all! There is so much to life, and so much in the world to experience! If you don't balance your time out, you will miss most of it!

    Does he wake up at 14:00 and use the PC until he sleeps again at 02:00?
