Is it normal for my cat to be so playful?

I enjoy playing with my cat so it's not a problem by any means, it just surprised me how playful she is. Cats I've had in the past primarily wanted to cuddle or just be in the same room as me while I'm working or relaxing. My current cat will come meowing for me to follow her and will lead me to her favorite toy and then meow excitedly until I start playing with her. She almost seems more like a puppy than a 3-year-old cat

      If I hold her like a baby and scratch the top of her head between her ears, she goes completely limp and starts purring like a motorobat

    Some cats prefer to bond through playing. See if you can teach her to a play fetch with a toy mouse, I have a playful cat and he picked it up surprisingly quickly.

    My cats are not that playful. Just occasionally they will hide and jump as I cross the corridor.

    I would have liked them to be a little more like yours.

      The adoption papers the shelter gave me calls her a Domestic Shorthair/Tortoiseshell
