Is it normal for my cat to follow me?
When she sees me downstairs she likes to follow me, sometimes she'll follow me in the kitchen or follow me upstairs to my room. Does she do it because she likes me or something? And is this a normal thing?

Some cats enjoy being with people and are constantly seeking attention from them. Some cats are standoffish and independent. Some cats are moody, and switch between those two behaviours for no obvious reasons. A lot of cats follow their humans around when they're interested in eating, or seek them out when they're looking for a warm lap to doze on.
My cat used to follow me everywhere too, unless she was sunbathing or something
It just means she wants to be around you because she loves you
Especially if you sit down somewhere and she hops up next to you
And you gotta do your part and notice when she's meowing for food than affection
It keeps the loving cycle going
That's what pets do. If you don't want your pet to take to you that much you should get a fish as you don't seem to understand the concept of a pet loving you.
