Is it normal for my dog to run away from me when i try to put medicine on her?

I constantly put medicine on her coat due to fleas and she runs away. Although its kinda funny I'm wondering if it's normal...

    Yes, my pets hate being poisoned too.

    But why is it constant?

      sorry not constant but she has fleas and I have to put medicine on her but every single time I need to put it on she always bolts away...

    Animals are very smart, just like kids, they do not like med's either. They don't Always reconize that what we are trying to do is for their own good.
