Is it normal for my school to charge us for being late?
I'm a senior in high school and this year my school started charging us $2 every time we're late. I feel like no ones talking about this, but they say I'm not going to graduate if I don't pay.

What the actual hell. I've never heard of a school doing that. I'm aware that schools are cracking down on absenteeism and tardiness, but definitely not with monetary incentives.
Who is charging you? Do you receive a letter of some sort? I suggest bringing this up with your parents and faculty.
People should be talking about this. Maybe you could contact your local radio station about it to give them bad press.
How about starting schools later than fucking 8:30am... I remember having to wake up at 5:30am every morning because of all the public transportation I had to take. Was in a bad mood and tired the entire 4 years.
In parts of the UK fines can be £120, if a kid is regularly late for school. I don't know who thought that was a good idea.
if you receive a truant status or habitually truant in america you have to pay a lot of money for being late or absent too many days.
I would say no. If they pursued the matter is switch schools or simply get my ged
that’s fucking stupid. what if it’s not the kids fault? what if the parent is late getting around?
