Is it normal for someone who normally trusts you to think you're...
suddenly out of NOWHERE "throwing them under the bus"?
Basically my coworker who I get on pretty well with thought I threw her under the bus for something when I absolutely did not and they know me, they even said it was strange for me. And I told them you're not understanding what happened, they still didn't believe me. Like what?
I am not one to ever throw anyone under a bus. I was going to tell her what happened but basically she found out before i could mention it because I was busy with work at the time I wanted to tell her. I was thinking about it the entire time but then she confronted me about it and it escalated and she told my head boss about it.
When my boss said I can't believe you did this, I just said sorry and that's it because I didn't want to be all like I didn't do that and start a fight. But now my other boss who was on her 50th vacation for the year and was away for a month, wants to talk to me about it and thinks I did this thing to SPITE my coworker and I don't know what to do because I don't want to get fired over a misunderstanding!
This happened over a month ago and it has never happened again. I didn't even make a mistake. I knew what happened but didn't get to tell her in time.
Is this normal for your supposed coworker buddy to think you're throwing them under the bus and then throw you under the bus so you're on the cusp of being fired?
