Is it normal for this to happen after taking the morning after pill

Earlier this year i took the morning After pill about 4 times in a space of 2 months, my boyfriend and I had recently started having sex and we used condoms but accidents kept happening and other times it was due to paranoia and there wasn't a real need to take it but just to be on the safe side etc. Any way I'd never had any pimple issues before and I'm 24 years old now but after taking the pill my skin went ballistic!!! The days before my period the pimples get more worse and I just feel like crap.

is it normal to still get SO many pimples even months after i took the morning after pill a couple of times and what can I do to cure this.

You need to start taking responsibility for your contraception. The morning after pill is not designed to be taken several times in auick succession. You're clearly not opposed to chemical contraception, so why not look at the pill, shot or implant?

    • I am opposed to chemical contraception unless if its a monogamous long term relationship , my boyfriend is moving away so I felt no need to subject my body through that . Oh the irony.

You're aware that the morning after pill is a high dose of the regular contracptive pill? And you took it four times in two months? But you're opposed to chemical contraception...

        Imbecile or troll? Hmm...

You're 24 and you took that four times within the span of 2 months? You're old enough to know better.

    • I am but I just lost my virginity and new to this sex world. I know better. it was a vicious cycle that just went on and on and I can't go on permanent birth control because ironically I am opposed to chemical contraception unless if its a monogamous long term relationship, my boyfriend is moving away so I felt no need to subject my body through that. Oh the irony.

Why exactly are you opposed to it, especially since you clearly do not want to be pregnant? Do you feel obligated to have sex/slutty just by being on b.c.? Nonsense. If the morning after pill didn't work would you have an abortion? It seems crazy to me to take such a huge risk and pay so much money (it's $40-50 a pop in the US for plan b) when you could find a birth control solution that suits you. There is even a non-hormonal IUD.

I am an unfortunate person who cannot tolerate hormonal b.c. and a copper IUD would most likely cause me bad issues...I have had to have more than one abortion. I wish I could handle things so easily and cheaply. If only I could pay $9/month for pills and not worry about it.

I don't know that I've heard about the pimples specifically, but those pills contain a pretty heavy does of hormones, stronger than the regular birth control pills, so it doesn't surprise me you're getting weird effects like that.

Yeah the pill screws with everything. It's very bad that you took that many pills, I have taken 2 within a span of 4 years and I feel pretty bad enough.

I understand the condoms breaking but if that keeps happening you have to change method or something, you can always rely on the day after pill.

    • Did you experience breakouts too? And what about random frequent yeast infections?

I didn't, but I felt like shit for a week. I was dizzy the first days, with a big headache; randomly spotting and my legs were aching. But that lasted a week, not more.
