I like when i comment on a story and then somebody replies to comment but is it normal to hate when i comment on a story or ask someone a question about their post and then they never answer and is it also normal to also hate when im the only person to comment? im just wondering if anyone else feels the same way
I respond to posts that interest me because I just want to express my opinion. Getting feedback is usually the last thing on my mind. However, I can understand how it would bother you a bit if you ask someone a question and they don't respond to you (also realize that presently, no one has a way to know that someone has replied to their post except by eyeballing it and this requires searching back pages, and pages sometimes and no one really wants to do that for no reason).
Truth be told, you haven't a clue as to "who, what, where, when, or how" in terms of the entity that you are addressing. For instance, you may think that you are addressing a female when it could be a male who has placed some random female's picture up on his profile; you may think that you are addressing one person when it could be more than one person sharing an account, and so on. I really would not place any significance on the "non response" part at all, quite frankly. There is a lot of bullshittery going on with some of the entities on this site and on other web forums, as well. Sometimes, it is a blessing in disguise that certain people don't pick you up on their radar.
It's definitely not normal to be feeling this way - it's just a website. Don't let it affect you so much..
Yeah, posts are anonymous til we reply and thus reveal it's us, so that's often an issue.
I do like when questions are answered, and it's always nice to see a 'thanks guys...' but I don't revisit posts enough so it doesn't bother me if they don't.
Simple as the original poster doesn't want you to know who he/she is so obviously won't answer. If it's just someone commenting on a story, well we don't always look back and care if someone responded to what you said on a story.
