Is it normal for undercover boss to lavishly reward only a handful of employees

The undercover boss works with a few people in the corporation in various positions, hears their hard luck stories and sees how committed they are to their jobs and hands out $10,000.00 for this and that, and pays their medical bills and student loans, and sends them on vacation, etc.
What about the hundreds or thousands of other committed dedicated employees who are working second jobs, are overwhelmed with debt, have family health issues, and still come in to work every day and do a good job and get NO special recognition or appreciation. What would that do to your attitude at work?
Would it be normal to get a bad attitude because YOU didn't get recognized, appreciated, and rewarded for doing the same things the others got rewarded for?

    like they dont know whats up and wasnt hand picked to be the bosses boss to begin with

      I didn't say I resent the ones who were recognized and rewarded. I'm happy for them. When they and the boss are shedding emotional tears of joy my eyes are watering right along with them.
      This isn't the same as the lottery. In the lottery it's purely a game of chance. In undercover boss a few select people are being REWARDED for their commitment and hardships, and everybody else that's putting forth the same kind of effort gets nothing.
      I'm not an immature jerk. Actually I'm the owner of a very small business and I would handle this a little differently.
      Also, I was asking what you thought of how that program was run, not what you think of me.
      Don't be so quick to go on the attack!

        I can't get TV here so I've not seen it. Good fortune, either through hard work or just luck, is something I would wish on everyone.
        You are the one who spoke of bad attitudes for the non winners, so I was assuming you were speaking for yourself. You showed no pleasure for those who won. Hey, I can only judge you by what you wrote; that's all you gave me. Perhaps I misinterpret sometimes, but unlike so many who doubt that I know it, I do know I'm not perfect. Every decade or two I do make a mistake.

          How is it that your access to television shows changes dependent on what suits your argument? You sometimes claim to access netflicks. You also sometimes claim that your internet speed is too slow to load any links people post. Which is it?

            How is it that internet access varies in every anchorage? How the fuck would I know, I'm not a techie! I don't build the shit, I just use it.
            Sometimes I can get a flick on Netflix and some fucking days it takes an hour to read a couple of emails. How is it? I don't fucking know.
            I guess that might be one point that would lead the doubters to consider that if I lived in a fucking basement, I'd have fast, reliable internet.
            How is it you can ask such a fucking STUPID question?

              Again, you deflect. You claim your access is poor consistently and have claimed that you do not know any celebrities due to this fact.

              Then suddenly, you have watched many shows and know many celebrities yet you are still claiming your access is poor.
