Is it normal for ur bff to tell her so ur secrets?

My BFF told her SO one of my deepest darkest secrets that I told her in confidence. I'm so embarrassed because it's a really serious secret that I don't normal tell anyone. What's worse is that I haven't even met her SO. they haven't been dating that long.

Its never ok if its told in confidence 14
Its never ok not matter what. 7
She should tell her SO everything, including her BFFs secrets 1
Its ok sometimes, but not if its a serious secret 15
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

That's called betrayal and if I were in your position I'd find it unforgiveable. Obviously her new boyfriend is more important than any respect she may have had for you as her "best friend" and that's not how a best friend behaves.

Personally, I tell my boyfriend everything, but that's because he's one of my best friends too and I can trust him wholeheartedly. Plus, it's fun to bounce ideas off him since he doesn't hold back on his honesty, even if it means disagreeing with me.

So somepone told someone else something. Who told what to who, escapes me because you simply allude to something withot real content. So exactly what happened and what was said and to whom was it said because BFF means nothing to me. I only relate to real words, totally spelt out, as the Kings English was meant to be.

Perhaps ..... WGAF ... WTF .... BBC .. ASAIC, WAY .. just may mean something yet they mean nothing to me. I am too well schoold and too old to change my way of comprehention.

As a member of a newer generation, allow me to explain.

BFF is an acronym for "Best Friend Forever" and SO is an acronym for "Significant Other."

I usually prefer using full words myself instead of acronyms, but it seems kinda mean to imply that those who use acronyms aren't well educated simply for using slang terms. Surely you use your own form of slang from the the 70s or 80s right?

As for the others you say....

WGAF = No clue, I'm not THAT young.

      WTF = What The Fuck?

BBC = The title of some British television station.

ASAIC = No clue once more, sorry.

WAY = Literally just the word "way" in full caps.

I'll admit that too many terms are becoming acronyms nowadays, back in my day there was just "lol" "wtf" "Ikr" and "idk". Now there's so many that I come across ones that I don't understand at all. Until recently I had no idea what tl;dr meant, for example.
