so my boyfriend doesn’t know i know this because i happened to come across a picture on his computer of him with his tattoo and a matching one of it on this girls foot that he used to have feelings for. when we met i asked for the meaning of it, and he told me he just got it because it resembled childhood or whatever. i also asked if he had any matching tattoos with anyone and he told me he had a few and told me with who and which ones they were but never mentioned this girl and that they had matching tattoos. i’ve asked if any of his tattoos were about other girls and he said no. is this wrong of him to keep this from me and lie about the meaning? he’s lied about a lot of other things about his past they he doesn’t know that i know

    i'm not going to pick yes or no because i think it depends. if he had a bad falling out with this girl, he might've just lied to avoid digging up an old hurt.

    but then you mentioned that he's lied about many other things as well. does he only lie about his past or is it also about current things? if it's only about his past then again, he might just have bad memories about it that he doesn't want to talk about. but if he seems to be someone who is lying to you constantly-- that's not a good sign.

    i don't know this guy or what's going through his head but if it bothers you you could try talking to him about it. i guess just try to go about it in a way that isn't too aggressive.

    good luck, man. secrets and distrust in a relationship isn't healthy for either one of you.
