Is it normal he came in my private place?

I don't like to let many people see my studio. I am very insecure about my works even though I have a following. This guy I have been seeing owns some pretty impressive works himself and asked to see my studio and I let him. Now I am questioning whether that was a good idea or not. I usually sell my work online, and it is sort of weird for a guy to come into my normally personal private space like this. Am I normal for feeling weird about this? He was pretty mum about it.

If they pay, let them see your art 11
You should let everyone and anyone experience your work 12
Never let anyone see your art in person 8
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • The issue with this is you don't trust him. Don't let people you don't trust see your privates.

Art is something you create with your emotions. It’s kind of like showing someone an entry in your diary. You may feel exposed or unsure of yourself but I’m sure that if you continue to show it to people you may get over it

If you don't want him in a place that's private and special to you, perhaps maybe you don't like him that much. That could be the case.

I dont really have somthing that im super private about so take it with a grain of salt, but I would say that you should let people experience who you are and what you love to do.
Btw what does "being mum" about something mean?

    • "Mum is the word", is a popular saying. Mum means being shush, or silent in the states. In England it's mom so yeah, I understand your confusion.

My dad is in the arts and music business so from what I have learned usually you don't let anyone see your art in person in your space unless they are important meaning of high ranking this lets other buyers know you are exclusive letting you raise the price for your art just based on that but if you are just starting out try to show your art as much as you can get your name out there first

    • I understand that, but I am not talking about artificially driving up value. I am speaking personally.
