I've known him for years, We've always had a thing for each other but live too far to make it work. Anyways, he's been talking about getting me pregnant but then brushes it off as a joke.
Is it normal? Should I just ignore it?
You'd need some healthy foundations for a relationship to lead to pregnancy, it demands that both are serious about it and willing to provide all that's necessary for a child to be raised and educated. Don't gamble someone's life in vain.
He's giving you a compliment. Don't tell him you would like him to be the father of your children unless you really mean it.
Hell no. Run over to his house and challenge him to it. Give him several chances. Then go home and think about why you've been friends for years, but nothing's cum of it.
Women have do this thing were they think anyone giving them a complement is hitting on them.
You mean him gettin you pregnant? Or just u pregnant in General? What kind of guy gringo that up on his own without some king of testicular torture device or blackmail? you should bring up him getting a vasectomy the next time he does it lol
Chances are very high that he is simply joking. Otherwise it is kind of weird/childish for him to really mean it but then hide behind the "joke card" when you say not yet.
Of course only you would know what kind of joker he is. For example me, I'm almost never serious and say outrageous things all the time. To make it worse (and tastier for me :p) my jokes/pranks intentionally have a deadpan delivery. But the people who know me well, know better and dont take me seriously.
How do you honestly react to it? Would you like it if he meant it for real?
Usually I'm like "oh noooo, not yet!" And he'll usually pull the "I was just messing" card. But honestly I would love it, I would absolutely have his children if he was willing to settle down and all that. But when he brushes it off, I don't know how to react.
