Is it normal his constantly complaining and yelling is ruining our marriage

Currently I am at a hotel with my daughter, because he went into a tirade Thursday evening about how I didn't shut my dresser drawers properly.His nonstop whining ,browbeating and yelling about everything all day long makes me nervous and mess stuff up.I dream about being divorced.When we go out with friends, I always say something wrong and I hear about it the whole way home.Talking to him or counseling doesn't work he says I am exaggerating or I am hysterical.The whining and bitching about everything started when we became parents three years ago. My mom says let him do it if he doesn't like your way of doing things. But then he complains to anyone who will listen about how lazy I am.
