Is it normal i’m taking a break from dating during the pandemic

I’m a guy in my early 30’s. I’ve been casually dating for a few years as I was school/career focused up until my mid-late 20’s.

I may not have a decade of experience like most people do, but I feel comfortable with meeting people and I’ve had my fair share of good and bad dates during the last few years.

Now during covid, I have just completely resigned from the dating market. I just don’t feel like meeting people now while the plague is on.

IIN, do you feel the same way?

    Hey, thanks for all the replies.

    I’m personally not afraid of covid, but even though I may not be at risk, I’m still a risk to others.

    My folks are also getting old (they are both 40 years my senior). I tend to drop by their place bi-weekly to check on them.

    I mainly feel that I don’t want to pose a risk to my surrounding. Just putting everything on hold for now (I’ve even been working from home to avoid the office).

    Have you just lost interest, or are you afraid of COVID?

    I lost all interest in dating after my last relationship ended when I was 21. I initially thought I just needed a long break, but it's been over 5 years and I've just never felt like dating again. It wasn't a traumatic experience or anything, I guess I just realized it wasn't what I wanted after all. I feel that if you don't want to, you shouldn't feel obligated to.

    Right on, man! I'm not even trying to date, or socialize now, because I don't feel like possibly getting exposed to the virus, and then spreading it to my elderly parents.

    If you aint got diabetes and youre not obese your chances of dying are close to 0. More likely to die in a car wreck.
