Is it normal i am exactly the same as i was three years ago?

I joined this site when I was 18. I had social anxiety then, suicidal, loner And isolated with barely any friends. And yet I'm still the exact same way except less suicidal.

I havent progressed at all.. Well I did find Christ, or He found me but that's it.

I think you have changed, but aren't fully aware of how much you have changed. I guess I've been here roughly three years myself, and I feel much better about my life. I feel I've changed for the better and made progress, but I'm still quite mad you know. I would also say I've probably developed somewhat of an addiction to this site.

It sounds like you've made some progress, a little progress is progress nonetheless. Hang in there.

Speaking on a developmental level, that is normal. The frontal lobe of our brains (responsible for decision making, problem solving, complex thought processes) are not fully developed until our late 20's (estimated 25 for females, 28 for males). This has a lot to do with our mental health because we process our experiences differently while still maturing mentally.

Other than all the nerd talk, you might want to try out some different solutions if you want things to change. If you've tried all the normal treatments (counseling, meds) than you might want to try changing your diet or people you hang around.

whew sorry that was long. good luck.

You have made progress brother. You yourself said you are less suicidal today than you were when you were 18. That is major progress my friend. Finding The Lord Jesus Chirst also is progress. You have come a long way in a short time. If you have not sought out couneling you might consider it. Talking about issues with a professional does help.
