I have a job now so I probobly going try move out in a few months. However I looking for a someone who already has a room since I dont have a cosigner. I am going to have to leave my current living area very soon. How would I accomplish this?
This shows your life inexperience. Sure there are scams on Craigslist, but there are also lots of great apartments, and it is easy to tell the difference.
Simply respond to the ads you like. If you get a response back about how there are on a mission in Nigeria thanks be to God with instructions on how to wire them money, you hit delete, simple.
If you get a response back with normal contact information and a request to set up a viewing time, you meet with a person who has keys and shows you around, and come to a reasonable agreement you are OK.
You can't be scammed unless you are just giving people money site unseen with no real reason to believe they are legitimate. So as long as you are not a complete moron, you should be fine. Most people looking for a room mate are going to go with a free classified, and Craigslist is a major free classified. There is no reason to discount a major source because of a few easily recognizable scams.
Pack a bag and walk out the door.
As far as finding a place to live, you apparently have some ability to use the internet (you are here, aren't you?),use it. Try google, I hear people actually use it to find information on stuff, like roommates.
