Is it normal i can't take the first one

I will always take the second one. For example, when shopping I never take the first one on the shelf, I take the one behind, regardless of date. In unopened packets of things like cheese slices or biscuits, I can't take the first one, I wait until someone else takes it. I have been forced to eat the first in a packet before and it makes me feel sick. This has started to extend to non food things too.

I always do that with fruit and veg. The freshest is usually hidden in the back, plus less people have touched it with their butthole/ballsack/booger fingers. I deem this tick harmless.

I just check the date if it's a concern.
I rarely even do that since anything besides fresh foods has a very long and very flexible use by date. Unless it's reduced to sell fast then there shouldn't be any concern at all.

Well I guess if you've got to have a quirk, this is one of the less destructive ones. However, it really makes a lot of sense if you go even farther back than the #2. The oldest stuff is on the outside, so the freshest is in the back, even at WallyWorld.
We're especially cognizant of this when we are stocking the boat for a long trip (over 10 days at sea). A trip around my bathtub that I call the Caribbean Sea with my wubber ducky, that is.

10 days is a long trip?

No canned pre-packaged garbage that you eat doesn't last months or even years.

I'M the same. When people used to read newspapers I could never take the one on top because it had been 'contaminated' by casual browsers. I always had to take one from the middle of the pile that no one had touched.
I'm still the same with other things in supermarkets.

That's sensible though because people steal extra inserts from the top ones.

Pretty normal. There are tons of people that have these little quirks of character. It just means you may have a problem and now you need to start taking zoloft for this horrific disease of the mind you meow discovered you have. Always needing to take the second item whilst shopping is a newfound mental disorder and those who suffer from this disorder need to be medicated before its too late.
